currently the universe is sending a repeating message out to me, slowly, over and over again
more of a question really, a juxtaposition of two different things
there are people who show emotion, find themselves in the company of others, connect to other humans and only realize then, life and who they are
there are people who know who they are only in the company of themselves, who seek solitude to discover the universe, who look within to gather and collect and understand everything that is
i believe things are more complicated. that things are a little of both.
how in a moment you can be with someone and discover everything - see into them and not only see them, see yourself, see the whole universe.
simple martin buber I and thou stuff.
yet in another moment you are climbing a mountain, sitting in shivasana, or riding the subway and all of those moments gather and you see some other moment of truth and clarity.
I think one cannot exist without the other.
and maybe, don't know really, the trick is knowing when to climb, and when to listen.
because both happen in your heart...right?

this note from ray bradbury was in my inbox this morning:
If we listened only to our intellect, we'd never have a love affair or friendship. We’d never go into business. Well, that's nonsense. Sometimes you've got to jump off cliffs and grow wings on the way down.
its a bit trite. but I like the idea of not knowing if you are going to make a mess of the sidewalk or defy the laws of physics...
